1-1 interview practice is designed to give your child guidance and support through the interview process. Children are guided through the usual types of questions they may be given and how to answer in full sentences with a golden thread throughout. Children gain confidence knowing the types of questions they may be asked and how to be able to answer these questions. Interview practice at Yellowbird is not about telling children what to say but about working with their answers and how to improve on them.
Private sessions include 50 minutes of interview skills and practice with 10 minutes extensive feedback to parents and your child.
These sessions will be hosted by Edward Borton.
Before transitioning to consultancy, Edward worked as Assistant Head at King’s College Junior School, Wimbledon, following earlier teaching and management roles at Whitgift School and Clifton College.
Based in London, Edward advises a diverse clientele, including expectant mothers, parents seeking guidance on Prep and Senior schools, families preparing for selective school admissions (7+ to 13+), and both domestic and international families relocating to the UK or southern England.
Utilising a range of assessment tools, Edward supports families through the school admissions process. He has extensive knowledge of schools in central and south west London, Surrey, and the South West of England. He places great importance on guiding parents to choose the right school for their children, considering academic ability, character, and broader interests.
Edward’s educational background is wide ranging, with qualifications from Harvard University, Oxford University, Exeter University, and the United Nations.
